This will sound weird, but I used to have ringing in my right ear after an hour or so practicing with my euphonium (bell facing right). I found places to practice where I could face the bell toward a curtain (or in the direction of other sound absorbing objects) and the ringing stopped. I never had any problems after band rehearsal and the ringing stopped altogether after I switched to tuba (hmm... the health effects of playing the tuba vs. the euphonium)
