I suspect that a Toyota pickup falls into that Miraphone class of items that can be bought routinely at market price in whatever age and condition you want. Unlike the Miraphone, a vehicle repair is not reliable. You can see what a Miraphone needs, and when it's fixed it's really fixed, but an old vehicle will be perfectly happy to present you with an unexpected repair 15 minutes after spending a bucket to repair an unrelated item.

I bought a fully-working Toyota pickup 4x4 with a zillion miles on it last summer for right about the cost of your needed repairs. It hauls mulch wonderfully and will get me through just about any snow and mud around these parts. It had only been rolled once.
