Just got a Wick Euphonium practice mute, as I do a lot of practicing indoors, have some questions for those who may use these. They claim to have excellent intonation, which it appears to have, but everything sounds at least 1/2 step higher in the mute than it actually is. Is this the case with anyone else? I'm playing a Hirsbrunner exclusive with the wide bell flare, and the mute sits very deep into the bell, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it?
