I've had my Dennis Wick practice mute for bass trombone for about a week now------it is very in tune in every range, even the pedal notes. I realize this doesn't answer your question about your Wick euphonium mute, but I suspect your mute has the capabilty of playing in tune if it fit in the bell differently.
