I see from a post down the line that you are going to perform Bruckner's 4th on your Willson EEb. I have some questions:

1. How has playing the EEb(I won't call it a smaller horn after playing one)changed your concept of the piece?

2. Is it easier? harder? What is the single most definitive reason you like the EEb for the work?

3. What is the biggest difference?

4. How do your section mates like the sound?

5. What was the deciding factor in your decision. I assume it may have been the key and tessitura of the part, but you may have others.

Thanks, Jay. I applaud your breaking with the American tradition of playing this piece on the biggest tuba out there. Peace.

Chuck
