I run an "Advanced Breathing Class" before school everyday. We use some resistance training and we wanted to see if it helped. I borrowed a spirometer from my wife (a physician) and we measured before and after two weeks of training. All students registered an increase and the average was a 17% increase. All of this is simply learning to be more efficient in the flow of air in and out.
