The C4 has a shallow C cup and a small backbore and a round, wide rim; a very typical German style mouthpiece. It is great for solos, Bydlo, or very bright playing. Schilke makes a copy called the 69C4. The C3 is a medium C cup with a slightly larger backbore and a slightly flatter rim; still a very German mouthpiece. The cup diameter is a little smaller that the C4, or at least it feels smaller because of the different rim shape. I have personally found the C3 works best only on rotary horns, my opinion only. Sorry, I have not played on the C7.
