Are you looking to please an instructor or are you looking to get the best tuba sound that you can get. Here is the point, don't buy something just because of what an instructor says. Play the horn if you like it fine, but you are the one forking out the cash so get what makes you happy. I would recommend that you go with the CC tuba rather than a BB flat
