Before making more of this than may be necessary, may I suggest purchasing the book "The Inner Game of Tennis", by Timmothy Gallaway. Then, check out as many good players as possible. Your apparent 'shift' for the low notes raises some concern, but this should only be addressed by a trained professional in person. Do not attempt any do it yourself surgery, expecially if it involves pain of any kind. If you want to test your chops a bit, make a habit of doing flexability exercises (Schlossburg book) and see if you can acheive a smooth transition from low to high. If this presents problems, you may want to invest in lessons (wind comes into play here so do not assume chops are the culprit). Sean speaks well to this and knows of which he speaks.
