I currently have two mouthpieces the I use with my Yamaha YEP 201 Euphonium a Yamaha 48 (a medium sized mouthpiece) and a Schilke 50 (deep cup and large bore). I like the sound of the Schilke, but I have problems with control in the high range. The Yamaha is better in the high range but does not have the sound. Can anyone suggest a mouthpiece that would be a compromise between the two? Also is there any place in the San Francisco Bay area that stocks a large variety of mouthpieces where I could try them out.
