Silver tarnish problems

I have an ancient silver Reynolds sousa that's in great playing condition, surprisingly. I don't pull it out that often, however, because of the fact that even when I wear gloves and am careful not to touch it with skin, it tarnishes horribly. Now it's been in for a few acid baths (4 actually, I've had it 3 years), but I hate doing that to get rid of the black stuff. I've tried a lot of the other polishes and buffer compounds and such, they just don't do that good of a job, and take forever to clean up. It does have a case, which helps a lot.

Has anyone ever had to come up with a solution for this problem?
