No, not in the "I'm mad" variety....
I was noticing the rather handy characteristic of my new Hirsbrunner HB2P that the piston valves are vented, thus avoiding the air distruption caused by pulling slides. I enjoy this characteristic that I'm looking into having it done to my Willson Eb tuba - do any of the technically minded folk out there have any anecdotes, advice, etc etc? Obviously, I would have it professionally done (I'm not about to randomly drill holes in my pistons, I'll let the professionals do that ;) ), but if there's anything I should be aware of, please let me know. Keep in mind that these are PISTON valves, not rotors. Thanks!
