Hello everyone,HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I have found swollen lips to become a concern recently..

I haven't touched my horn for about a week because school is closed so I have been buzzing the mouthpiece only.. a lot of buzzing compare to how much I would normally do when I have my tuba with me.. I find buzzing is actually more tiring than playing the horn and I get tired more easily..and I couldn't believe I only buzzed for less than 1 hour yesterday when I woke up today I found the center of my upper lip had some blood and my lips swell like hamburgers (maybe that has something to do with the dry weather too)..

I bought Elizabeth Arden's lip-fix cream ..and I am hoping it will protect my lips from swelling .

I think somone said " too much good things can be bad" a while ago, so what's the suggested time for mouthpiece buzzing ?

I also find it to be harder to buzz on heavier mouthpeices than on light ones like Conn Helleberg (I can buzz really smooth phrases on a Conn Helleberg but can hardly play Rochut on my Monette)..

I think I really need some tips on the swollen lips now,

Tim
