I use old ballads for this purpose. "Laura" in (nominally) Bb, "I'll Get By" in Bb and C, "Someone to Watch Over Me" in G, "Over the Rainbow" in Bb, "Danny Boy" in Db, "Dream a Little Dream of Me" in Bb, "When Sonny Gets Blue" in Eb and on and on and on in that vein will get you in to the register you want to use. I never write these tunes down, just play them from memory and they are always there (in my head) to warm-up and play. Then you can do things like "Tubby the Tuba" and "Komm Susser Todd" to prove up that relationship with the upper register. As long as it is melodic, it will lead you to the correct notes, and they will tend to be in tune.
