I can confirm Jay's comments in regard to the Dillon Sheridan PS3 and a Mirafone 183-4U. When I discipline myself (or heed my teacher's advice) and work for the characteristic sound on my specific horn (that is, not try to make it sound like my gone but not forgotten Conn 24J) the intonation is VERY good. There is a range of Sheridan mouthpieces available. AS has been often said here, try 'em. Find what fits your face and horn.
