How do you protect the bottom bow?

Tuba players, what do you use, if you have one, for covering the bottom bow and what do you fasten it with? Pictures would be nice ("Photoshop/ImageReady > Save For Web" to keep that file size minimal), if possible. Leather seems to be the preferred material. Fastening it is just as important an issue to keep it firm and not cause damge itself. Pant legs, belts, zippers, etc., can do a long-term number on lacquer and/or plating. Wanna hear it all.
