I just recently got back from the Florida Music Education Convention and I had a great time playing in the All-State Band. But what was just as much fun for me was the chance to play on all of the shiny new tubas, and one stood out in particular, the new Conn 56J. I really thought that it was a great horn, but I am a BBb Tuba player at the moment, and do not really know my way around a CC tuba so I could not truly judge the performance of the horn. So I was wondering if anyone out there in Tuba Land has tried out this new model, and if so what do you think of it?
