Why The 621 is so expensive?

Why the YAMAHA 621 CC is so expensive for such a small tuba? even the 621 in BB is in the same price range.Is because is made in Japan? The German tubas and even the new CONN's are bigger and they are almost in the same price range.For the price of a new 3/4 YAMAHA you can get a NEW 4/4 German or American tuba.Any opinions?
