I had the oportunity to see an interesting St.Petersburg 5-valve CC prototype in raw brass. Pleasant looking horn! I'm guessing that production may not be to far off. I did not play it, but I'm guessing that there are some problems still to be worked out........one obvious issue was that the 5th valve, although in-line with the other 4, was of a different size bore and was physically smaller than the others........means that the airflow gets constricted briefly between the lead-pipe and the main valve set. The 5th valve appeared to be set-up for interchangeable slide length depending on the players preferences.
I won't be trading-out my ol' B&S any time soon!!
