That has certainly been my experience. Every BAT I've played in my long search had a terrible intonation problem, just like everyone says. All of them were massively sharp, and there was no way I could get them down to pitch, however much I like their sound and playing characteristics.
Then I discovered the Holton, which is the first I've played that had really good intonation!
And here's the kicker: Intonation must not matter to anybody, because my in-tune Holton was thousands less expensive than similar Holtons that are massively and uncontrollably sharp.
