Well, you've got Marty Erickson on your side, and I've got Pat Sheridan on my side - I guess that makes us both winners. Seriously, I really love these little 983's. Then again, as I said, I'm real used to Bessons. People complain about the low register being small on the Besson, but you should have heard the low notes Pat Sheridan got out of his! I need the help in the upper range. I probably should have seriously looked at the Yamaha 822. I do like how those horns play, but the Besson has a warmer sound, by and large.
