You might like "Pulvex" another fine veterinary ointment, Chuck.
However, if you were using anhydrous lanolin on your slides, you'd have a high viscosity ointment to coat your lips, and you couldn't be inclined to lick it off (or have section members wanting to kiss you) as they might if you were using Bonnie Bell Lipsmackers in fruity flavors. The nearest health-food store will have Burt's Bees products and other non-petroleum lipbalms if one objects to petroleum on the lips.
