Welcome to the good side of the lower brass world! Unfortunatley, not many places rent tubas. One good place to start is here! Just let people know the general area that you live in, and someone might have one that is pretty affordable.
Also, try a local high school. H.S.'s invariabley have a BBb that they are trying to sell.
