Seriously, doesn't brass become somewhat brittle over time; particularly when it's been worked on repeatedly?
Can nearly anything be repaired to good working order or do you end up thinking:
"one more nasty whack on this bell/bow will be the end of it"?
Can a brass instrument live 'forever'?
