I have actually played a nice one of these, and I was certainly surprised. It was a Yamaha, but not the top of the line even. It had a nice sound and was in tune. If most of the alto horns out there were not Kompleat Dogs, we might have a little different opinion of them. That and if anything other than off beats was ever written for them.
