I've always wondered about something. I know the story about how Philip Donatelli sold Arnold Jacobs his York CC tuba because of the short leadpipe. Apparently, when Mr. Donatelli took a breath it pushed the tuba away from his lips since he was-as Brian Fredericksen so tactfully put it-a corpulent man. What I've always wondered: what type of horn did Mr. Donatelli play after selling the York? I know, I know; a silly question on an obscure point of history but what the heck, where else could you ask and find the answer?
