Kevin, you'll probably have more success phoning the St. Louis AMTRAK terminal for freight information than trying to locate the information online.
When I purchased a tuba and had it shipped from Salt Lake City to Chicago via AMTRAK, it took a bit of effort to get connected to the correct phone number for freight shipments. But once the correct department was located, the personnel were friendly and helpful. The cost was approximately $37, and the tuba arrived in excellent condition.
Be sure to post your reactions to the monster sousaphone on the BBS after you've had a chance to play it!
