Some mention was made of 3M's Tarnishield. I would concur-that stuff works great, rubs off nicely and has no abrasives to scratch your investment. As for Windex, spray some on glass, wait a few days and notice all the cloudy residue. I shutter at the thought of spraying that same stuff on my $10k tuba.
