Eb Tuba as a Solo Horn, not F...

I have been playing Eb tuba for nearly 2 years now and find it extremely useful in solo tuba, brass quintet, and tuba quartet music. Working with pieces like "Introduction and Dance" and taking the whole thing up an octave (like how Roger Bobo did with his F on a certain CD recording) is just downright easy on an Eb tuba, in my opinion. So my question to all you Tubenetters is this: if I already know Eb (along with CC and BBb) why learn F? What's the purpose? Thanks!
