David,
I owned a DePrins CC, purchased from Walter Sear, around the late 60's or early 70's. They were made in Belgium and I believe the horn was
designed by Walter as well. At that time he was importing horns made by both DePrins and Mahillon with his name imprint as well. I played the CC DePrins
for a while, and don't recall having any particular pitch problems with it. To the best of my recollection, it had a fairly bright sound, with a good core. As to
locating Walter, I know he is still in NYC, but I have lost touch with him over the years and do not have a current address or phone number. Good luck in your
search for information.

Will
