The coneshaped valve buttons of course tell of this instrument being a Besson New Standard. Which however only in such insignificant cosmetic details differ from the B&H Imperial.
The quoted manifacture year (1975) makes it extremely likely that the leadpipe and the receiver are of the old narrow dimensions.
A Conn Helleberg hardly will be usable without some shaving of the stem.
Personally I have found that the Denis Wick 1L gives some more sound than the Conn Helleberg. And the plain DW 1 (that is non-L) is designed to fit the instrument we are discussing here.
