Mike Johnson sent me an email this afternoon, with four attached images of a 1937 4/4 CC York that everyone has wanted to see documented this week. He wondered if I might be willing to post them for him.
Uh, yes.
I have been collecting photos of interest York-branded tubas for a while, but the images were too few and didn't really show the instruments in a way that would serve the role of an on-line archive of pictures. Some of you may recall me trolling for ideas about this project a year or so ago, or perhaps even longer. Various additions to the web site have trimmed the corners of that project, but these images strike at the heart of it. The page is still a-building, and I don't have time today to really dig through what I have. But these images would not wait.
Those of you who have images of tubas like this one--let me know, and I'll add them (with credit, of course).
