Andy,
I too switched from a Kalison DS to a PT-6p. I found that I was busting the seams apart on the Kalison when I tried to torque it a little, and that the overall sound of the horn was just too bright. I love my new PT-6P! Big sound, good response. The only thing that bothers me is the 6th partial. from F to A in the top of the staff is really sharp. I have to play the G with fourth valve and pull slides and lip the other notes. Having to lip notes isn't good, because you might miss them more that way! Overall, though, I think the PT-6P is the best horn for me. I recommend you at least try a PT-6 to see how it feels for you.
Adam
