hi, ,Jay has some good thought`s there!, i agree with him , if your happy with what you have or want to do , go for it . I feel sometimes lately players get too caught up in the price tag`s, brands ,keys of the tubas and the looks and how many valves they have , rather than the most important things , like sound , and personal pleasure that a tuba , whatever it is, may bring to the player ,and or the band or orchestra, in which it is used. I myslef am alot happier person for not trying to keep up "with the Jones`s " if you get what i mean ? Good luck to you in whatever you deside to do .
