1) "Monster" was a trade name used in the early part of the 20th century to sell horns.

I own a "legit" York "Monster" E flat, it's big and all with a bell dia just under 20",
and the branches are quite decent-sized for an 80+-year-old E flat tuba.

2) 4/4 -versus- 5/4 and what "makes the difference"? Honestly you'd be better off typing "4/4" and/or "5/4" into the search engine at the top of this BBS, then YOU decide after reading the hundreds of comments what YOU think makes the difference. I'm sorry but thats the best way (albeit some work) for you to get somethings to think about
