Thanks for the comments. I think I shall scavenge some parts as suggested at least for now.
Does anyone know of a site or article which discusses the effects of taper rates on tone and intonation. I am aware of the basic affects but would like to read up as much as possible on the subject so I can make decisions on the best approach according to the parts I can gather up.
