I was in your footsteps a few years ago. I had a Kalison DS and when I got to college, I was told to get a different tuba. I went to a Yamaha 822S. It's a 4/4 or small 5/4 tuba with 4 pistons, 1 rotar. Very clean sound that is used a lot in movie recordings on the West Coast. Right now, my needs have change again so I'm trying to sell this tuba. If you're interested, let me know. My asking price is around $5,500.
