It looks like a 601 to me. I have always liked the playing feel and sound of Cerveny's, but I wouldn't suggest this model for a 13 year old, even for practicing at home. I think that a King 2341 or Conn 5J, or even a Cerveny 681 would be better choices because of the smaller bore. For a little less money you could get a 3 valve horn, like a Conn 15J to start with and get your chops back in shape. If you buy one used it should keep its value well and then you can trade it for a 4 valve horn when you are ready. Also check the shops link on this site. Many of these shops have reasonably priced used tubas for sale that could be just what you need.

Congratulations on taking this step. I waited nearly 20 years before getting back into playing, and really regret not doing it sooner. Good Luck.
