One other option to attempt is to use 2-3-5 for Db. But his depends heavily on the low F, Eb for fifth. I used this on my old Mel Culbertson 6/4 and it worked well with 1-3 for D and G. I left fourth sharp and fifth a little flat which would yeild a reasonable Db but the low F# was still in tune 2-4. This meant I had to pull slightly for low D, but nothing else. However, this register is where tubas seem to vary the most in intonation.
