I am a euphonium player trying to get my chops back after major jaw reconstruction surgery a more than 3 years ago. The surgery left me off of my horn for over a year and did some nerve damage leaving part of my lower lip numb. Needless to say, it has been a rough road getting back and I'm still not up to where I was and am wondering if I ever will. Since playing again I suddenly have problems I never had before, primarily air leaks (including through the nose in some registers) and major difficulties switching rapidly between upper and lower registers. I guess what I'm searching for are related, hopefully, success stories, encouragement and suggestions. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
