I'm glad you love your Sterling. I've tried many of them and don't like them, but I always say that the horn picks you, not the other way around and you are living proof.
Euphman, pick whatever horn you like. Try a bunch of them and if you find one that fits, get it. Luis Maldonado won the Falcone on a non-comp Yamaha. He sounded great and it fit him to a "t".
That being said, I have no idea who you are and what your goals are. If you want to play in a D.C. band, then I would say to get a horn that they play (or at least one that they won an audition playing). If nobody has won an audition playing a Sterling, then it is likely that it doesn't have the sound that they're looking for. It takes a SPECIAL player to win a job playing a non-mainstream brand euphonium. I won't tell you not to try it, but I sure would advise against it.
Let the whippings begin!
