A couple of years ago I got hit in the face with a rock, and had to get two stitches. The ER doctor did it, instead of a plastic surgeon, so the stitches were a bit rough. It took a good while for my face to totally heal. What made it better was rubbing pure vitamin E on it (poke a hole in one of the vitamin E geltabs and massage it in). It broke up most of the scar tissue pretty well, and you can hardly tell now that I had any stitches. The best part, is I can't tell a difference when I play. You might think of trying that after it scabs. Also, my brother cut his face playing basketball. The doctor suggested keeping anti-bacterial ointment on it constantly. People know you did something of course, and it takes longer to heal, but he's almost finished healing and you can't tell he ever had the stitches. Just some ideas, good luck!
