I've spent some time reading the posts and the archived posts about players/teachers who are considered great. Like other careers, do you think that people get a good rep because their name is simply out there more than others are? I guess another question would be the amount of publicity a musician can make for himself and how you can market yourself as a tuba player. Anyway, kind of a misc. topic, but thoughts would be great, as I'm relocating and have given thought to getting a press packet and demo CD together, for the exact reason mentioned above, getting a name out.
