A few years ago, when the Canadian Brass were sponsored by Getzen they experimented with making bells from carbon fiber aggregates, the same material used in race car bodies and other high-tech applications. They completed at least the tuba, which I saw Chuck Daellenbach playing a couple of years ago, just before they went back with Yamaha. It looked a bit strange - kind of dull dark gray - but sounded marvelous. At the time, they had a trombone bell planned. I think the tuba was available for purchase at that time. Since then, I don't know what happened to the carbon fiber project, and I don't see carbon fiber bells listed with Getzen. I suppose you might be able to find out something if you contact Getzen. They have a web page at http://WWW.GETZEN.COM/. I seem to recall that David Fedderly was selling the CB models during their Getzen era, so maybe he would know something. His web site is http://members.aol.com/bbctuba/. If you find out something, please post it.
