Mr. Jacobs did allow Hirsbrunner to copy his "back-up" horn, not the concert horn. It was during shipment to Switzerland (in a cardboard box) that the horn was almost totally destroyed. Hirsbrunner put it back together and took all their measurements at that time. Before Mr. Jacobs retired he made his concert horn available to them and they found that the tapers of some of the tubing were different and that the valves were 1 mm larger. They made these changes to their production and the newer models should be very close to the concert horn dimensions.

Brian Fredericksen could probably give you the entire poop on this, this is what I was told by the guys at Custom Music when I bought my Yorkbrunner.
