Without re-reading this entire thread, it seems to me that the dissent is critical of a "thing", i.e., the perceived operations of an organization. I don't recall any nasty jabs at individuals.
However, when a defender of the organization attacks a dissenter's "personhood", that crosses the line
and is unacceptable in my judgment. It is needlessly inflammatory, and accomplishes nothing positive for the organization.
