Have been playing all four tubas for several years. The fingering problem is known to me. Assuming that you have mastered (at one time) each instrument's requirements, it's important to play all horns on a regular basis, allocating certain music only to certain horns. In other words, don't learn Williams on an F and attempt to play it on an Eb without having to relearn ther whole thing. Switching horns in mid music is not advised. Try and keep within one key for an entire performance. Don't assume that if something is learned in one key you have learned it for all keys. Don't get tired while playing, because that is when the fingering fairies attack. Harry Critchley
