I think that we're getting to involved in what mouthpiece to choose from instead of solving the real problem. Airstream. Try to relax more using 2/3's of a full breath (not a full breath) and blow through. Don't restrict your airstream and relax your embouchure more. You'll be surprised of the results. Every now and then one of my students complain of the same problem. I'll pick up their instrument, (by the way this particular example was a Rudy piston) and demonstrate. Then, they try again using the same technique with definitely improved results. Don't get so analytical with the mouthpieces. Just relax and play, man. Just an old school guy rambling on.
