What Joe said. When I bought my B&S last year I had Dick Ackright (Best Instrument Repair in Oakland) chem clean it and lap all the slides and re-cork/felt the valves. He must have told me 5 or six times in the 20 minutes I was there when I picked it up to oil it EVERY time I play it "lots of oil" he said. Even so (and using Al Cass) I have had the same "deposition" stuff happening, BUT it MUCH less frequent now and I am a little averse to switching oils - God knows with my luck different oils would react somehow and turn to goo. (yes I'm serious) Next time I'll use Blue Juice, thanks for the tip Joe.
