I have an older 6/4 size holton tuba, and it has a different type valve stem for each valve. I'm making some new stems during my break.
(I own a lathe, and even know how to use it) Anyway I was curious if I should go for bigger diamater/stronger/heaver vavle stems,
or, smaller/weaker/lighter valve stems. Right now I'm leaning towards bigger, but I will have to make the vavle cap hole
bigger so the valves don't whistle when I play the horn.
Any thoughts are welcome
